Contains :
Hawthorn tincture (Folium Crataegi cum flores), ethyl alcohol min. 50% m/m.
Hawthorn is one of the plants whose medicinal properties were already known in the Middle Ages, when it symbolized hope.
Hawthorn was used in the past to treat kidney and bladder stones. The phytotherapy treatises of Culpeper and K'Eogh from the the 16th and 18th mention all these uses. It is the merit of an Irish doctor to be discovered at the end of the century. 19th century the remarkable benefits that hawthorn can bring in the treatment of cardiac and circulatory problems, benefits for which it is also used in modern phytotherapy. For today's phytotherapists, hawthorn is the "plant of the heart" because it increases the blood flow to the heart and regulates the heart rate.

The main constituents:
Flavonoids, triterpenes, glucosides, amines, polyphenols, coumarins, tannins.

Pharmacological action:
Cardiac tonic, vasodilator, relaxant, antioxidant.

Recommendations:
moderate heart failure and heart rhythm disorders on a nervous background (sedation);
restoring normal blood pressure, being useful in both hypertension and hypotension, due to its dual action, cardiac sedative and cardiac tonic;
reduces the symptoms of angina pectoris, thanks to the flavonoids that relax and dilate the coronary arteries;
reduces the risk of degeneration of blood vessels due to the antioxidant action of flavonoids;
improves memory, especially in combination with preparations based on gingko biloba, by stimulating irrigation of the brain, which is thus better oxygenated.

How to use:
Internally, take 20-30 drops diluted in 100 ml of water or tea, 3 times a day.
