Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml is a nasal spray.
The active substance, xylometazoline, has vasoconstrictor activity, thus decongesting the nasal mucosa. The second active substance, dexpanthenol, is a derivative of pantothenic acid, a vitamin that allows wound healing and protects the mucous membranes.

Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml is used to reduce nasal congestion associated with rhinitis and to promote healing of skin and mucosal lesions, for the treatment of vasomotor rhinitis and for the treatment of
nasal breathing after nasal surgery.

Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml can be used for children aged 2 to 6 years.

Do not use Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml:
- if you are allergic to xylometazoline, dexpanthenol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml should not be used during pregnancy because there are insufficient data on the administration of xylometazoline hydrochloride in pregnant women.

Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml should not be used by breastfeeding mothers because it is not known whether xylometazoline hydrochloride is excreted in breast milk.

Driving and using machines:
If used according to medical prescription, Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml has no influence on driving and using machines.

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage:
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended dose of Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml is one spray in each nostril, up to 3 times a day, holding the bottle upright and inhaling through your nose while activating the spray.
Dosage depends on individual sensitivity and clinical response.

Duration of administration:
Do not use Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml for more than 7 days, unless your doctor tells you to. You should wait a few days before using it again.
A doctor should always be consulted regarding the duration of treatment in children.

Prolonged or frequent use of Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml may lead to chronic inflammation and possibly atrophy of the nasal mucosa.
Patients with glaucoma, especially narrow-angle glaucoma, should consult their doctor before using Bixtonim Xylo Duo 0.5 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml.

- The active substances are: xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol.
Each ml of nasal spray, solution contains 0.5 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 50 mg dexpanthenol. One spray contains 0.1 ml of nasal spray, solution, containing 0.05 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 5 mg dexpanthenol.
- The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, purified water.
