Sterile Singles – sterile, vinyl- and latex-free disposable gloves

Sterile single gloves are synthetic disposable gloves made of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and offer a vinyl- and latex-free alternative to natural rubber latex gloves. They are transparent, smooth, and straight-cut, making them ideal for sterile examinations outside of the operating room. The latex-free material makes them particularly suitable for situations where protection against type I latex allergies is important – for both medical personnel and patients.

Applications and benefits

These gloves are designed for healthcare settings and are specifically recommended for sterile, non-surgical, low-risk examination procedures. They can also be used as glove liners under other gloves for increased protection. Each glove is individually sterile-packed in a paper pouch and mounted on a backing paper, facilitating easier donning under sterile conditions. As a cost-effective, synthetic solution, they are particularly suitable for frequent sterile applications.

Application and handling

Open the paper pouch under sterile conditions and remove the individually wrapped glove. Use the backing paper to slip the glove onto your hand hygienically and with minimal contact. Ensure that the sterile outer layer does not come into contact with non-sterile surfaces. The gloves are available in sizes S (6.5–7), M (7.5–8), and L (8.5–9) – choose the appropriate size for a secure and comfortable fit.

Quality and standards

Sterile single gloves are manufactured according to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality management standards. They comply with, among others, EN 455 Parts 1 and 3, as well as ISO 10993-10:2002. The gloves have a typical length of 278 mm and a wall thickness of approximately 0.03 mm on the palm and fingers. The tear strength is at least 2 N before and after aging, and the leak tightness is tested at 1.5 AQL (micro-perforations, inspection level I).

Storage instructions

Store the gloves in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep them away from ozone and ignition sources to prevent material damage and maintain sterility until use.

Warning notices

Use the gloves only in their undamaged original packaging and only once; they are not intended for reuse. If the packaging is damaged or the glove shows visible defects, the product is no longer considered sterile and must not be used. Although the gloves protect against type I latex allergies, be aware of individual intolerances to plastics such as ethylene vinyl acetate. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
