Exufiber Ag+ with Hydrolock Technology is a sterile, gel-forming fiber dressing with rapid antimicrobial action for long-lasting protection against a wide range of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, including resistant bacteria such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE), as well as against fungi and viruses. Exufiber Ag+ has been proven to kill 99 percent of fungi, bacteria, and viruses within 24 hours (in vitro) and can help reduce odor. When Exufiber Ag+ comes into contact with wound exudate, it forms a gel. This gel helps maintain a moist wound healing environment. The fiber dressing has high wet tensile strength, allowing it to be easily removed in one piece during dressing changes. Its high absorption and retention capacity reduces the risk of leakage and maceration. You can use Exufiber Ag+ on moderately to heavily exuding wounds. Exufiber Ag+ can also be used in combination with Mepilex Border Flex with Safetac.
