5 HTP 50 mg, 30 capsules, an intermediate metabolite between the Amino Acid Tryptophan and serotonin, is extracted from the grain of an African plant (Griffonia simplicifolia). 5-HTP, as a substance, is normally present in the body of every human being and does not only because it is either transformed from L-tryptophan, an essential amino acid ingested through various foods (milk, meat, etc.), in optimal quantity and concentration, through molecular biochemical processes, or is ingested as such through certain nutraceuticals, it being the direct precursor of serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine - 5HT) - the most important brain neurotransmitter.
