Properties:

Ingredients:
the bark of the tree Salix alba L., fam. Salicaceae, contains saligenol heterosides, tannin, resins, phenolic glycosides, flavonosides.
Effect:
Anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antirheumatic, febrifuge, anticoagulant, astringent, mild sedative.
Main uses:
Rheumatism, arthritis.
Other uses:
Feverish conditions, colds, neuralgia, depressive conditions, diarrhea, stomatitis.
Contraindications:
In people with hypersensitivity to salicylates.
Preparation:
- Internal use: make a decoction of 1 tablespoon per cup of water.
- External use: make a concentrated decoction of 2-3 spoons per cup of water.
Use:
- Internal use: drink 1-2 cups of tea a day.
- External use: compresses are applied to the painful place with the concentrated decoction.
