Acne-prone skin is a common skin condition that manifests as blackheads and white or red spots of varying severity.

Adult acne (acne tarda) is defined as acne that develops or persists into adulthood. This phenomenon is due to external factors such as pollution, stress, and lifestyle, as well as internal factors such as fluctuating hormone levels and diet. Adult acne shares the same characteristics as adolescent acne (excess and thickened sebum, clogged pores, inflammation) but is also associated with the first signs of aging (wrinkles, fine lines, loss of radiance, and pigmentation disorders).

Acne isn't just for teenagers. A growing number of adults are also experiencing it. The biological mechanisms are similar, but adult acne presents more specific problems such as enlarged pores and the appearance of wrinkles.
