HydroTac Sterile Dressing 10cm x 20cm

HydroTac® is a combination of a foam dressing and a hydrogel. The dressing is based on polyurethane foam. The wound-side layer of the dressing is hydrogel. The hydrogel layer is mesh-like, allowing exudate to flow freely into the absorbent foam layer. The polyurethane foam quickly absorbs excess wound exudate and seals it within its structure. It does not release it even under the influence of compression therapy. The hydrogel releases moisture into the wound, maintaining a moist environment that promotes granulation and epithelialization. The hydrogel prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound. Dressing changes are painless. The hydrogel layer gives the dressing an "Initial Tack" effect, making dressing application much easier. The outer layer of the dressing is covered with a waterproof polyurethane film, protecting the wound from the penetration of pathogenic microorganisms while not impeding the flow of air or water vapor.

HydroTac® dressing is used to treat difficult-to-heal wounds, both exuding and relatively dry, in the granulation and epithelialization phase. It is ideal for use in conjunction with compression therapy for venous leg ulcers.

The hydrogel layer gives the dressing an "Initial Tack" effect, making application much easier. The HydroTac® dressing does not have an adhesive edge and therefore requires additional securing to the skin.
