What is Pidolat?
Magnesium L-pidolate is the magnesium salt of pidolic acid (pyrrolidone carboxylic acid = L-PCA). Pidolates are amino acid derivatives and improve the bioavailability of the mineral.

Most magnesium products on the market contain purely inorganic magnesium (magnesium oxide), the absorption of which depends on the acidity levels in the stomach, as it can only dissolve and be absorbed by the body in acidic conditions. With poor stomach acidity, most of it is excreted unused. Organic magnesium (such as magnesium L-pidolate) is absorbed much better and independently of stomach acid concentration. Nevertheless, magnesium oxide remains one of the best sources of magnesium, which is why we have included it in our product.
