3M™ Steri-Strip™ wound closure strips are ideal for atraumatic and pain-free wound care. They are particularly suitable for treating uncomplicated wounds, surgical incisions, and fresh lacerations. The strips ensure precise adaptation of the wound edges and promote even tension distribution, which prevents tissue trauma and supports blood circulation.
Application
Correct application begins with cleaning and drying the skin around the wound. Remove the strip from the protective film and place it on the wound, bringing the wound edges together. Gentle pressure ensures good adhesion. Be careful not to pull the strips too tight to allow for optimal healing. Repeat the process until the entire wound is covered. Regular replacement of the strips is recommended, especially if they become wet or soiled.
