Macrogol

Description
Medical device.
Symptomatic treatment of constipation. It promotes peristalsis, helping ensure proper bowel movements, thus combating constipation and preventing fecal impaction.
Macrogol is an inert, high-molecular-weight, water-soluble polymer that binds to the water used for ingestion, retaining it in the stool. It rehydrates and softens the stool, facilitating evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not cause fluid or electrolyte imbalances when taken with the indicated dose of liquid.
Suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age.

How to use
Take 1 to 4 sachets daily. Dissolve in water or other liquid (125 ml per sachet) and consume immediately. It is recommended to take the product in the morning if the minimum dose (1 sachet per day) is required. For larger doses, divide the dose between morning and evening.
The dose should be increased or decreased depending on individual response to treatment, to allow for regular, soft stools. The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 4 sachets per day.
If you do not notice any improvement after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Warnings
Administration in children must be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult.
Do not use if package is opened or damaged.
Consult your doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The product may reduce the intestinal residence time and therefore the absorption of oral medications. It is therefore advisable to consult a doctor if taking oral medications at the same time, which should always be administered at least two hours apart.
In case of adverse reactions, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package.

Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources.
The expiry date refers to the product when stored correctly.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 36 months.
