Beta-Glucan

Beta Glucan supplements come in various forms, such as vegetable capsules, tinctures, film-coated tablets, or syrups. 

For example, Beta Glucan Secom contains 200 mg of active Beta Glucan, extracted from the cell wall of yeast. These capsules can be taken daily with a glass of water, preferably on an empty stomach, as recommended by a specialist. 

There are also combined formulas, such as AHCC Secom, which contains AHCC extract plus NAC Beta glucan to support the immune system.

Beta Glucan is recommended for:

• Balancing the immune system - Beta Glucan helps activate and differentiate immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and T lymphocytes. These cells play an essential role in the body's immune response.
• Supporting lipid and carbohydrate metabolism - Beta Glucan helps maintain normal plasma cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels. It also contributes to controlling blood sugar and blood pressure levels.
• Reducing the risk of infections - By supporting the immune system, Beta Glucan can help prevent and fight various types of infections.

The recommended dose for Beta Glucan is 1 capsule per day, taken with 200 ml of water, preferably on an empty stomach.

Beta Glucan is generally considered safe for most people, but there are some important contraindications:

Also, due to its blood pressure-lowering effect, interactions with antihypertensive drugs may occur.
