Steablock is a dietary supplement that combines the hepatoprotective effects of silymarin, alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) and selenium. It is indicated for liver disorders, especially those related to metabolic syndrome.
Forms of release
Steablock Hyllan is available in boxes of 60 capsules.
Steablock contains 226 mg of silymarin, 150 mg of alpha-lipoic acid and 100 mcg of organic selenium.
Indications
Steablock is a liver protector and a dietary supplement that aids in the regeneration of liver cells. It may be beneficial in cases of hepatic steatosis (grade 1 to grade 3) and metabolic syndrome (an umbrella term for several conditions that together are responsible for an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes). Steablock is also described as having benefits in terms of reducing blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
Dosage and administration
For adults, 2 Steablock capsules for the liver are recommended twice a day, after main meals. Steablock can be administered to children from the age of 3 years. The paediatrician can determine the indications and dosage for children. In order to observe the beneficial effects of silymarin treatment, this treatment with Steablock must be continued for at least 3 months.
Contraindications
In principle, there are no special contraindications or adverse effects described for Steablock. However, in patients with advanced renal or hepatic impairment, caution is recommended when administering all medicines and food supplements, as these organs are the main sites of metabolite processing.
