Tarosin is used in the following conditions:

• Conditions accompanied by capillary fragility or abnormal permeability of their walls, such as endogenous or toxic vascular purpura (gold salt poisoning, barbiturates, salicylates), retinal, digestive, renal haemorrhages, etc.
• Allergic conditions and haemoptysis.
• Infectious diseases with capillary involvement, such as scarlet fever, typhus, etc.
• Varicose veins and haemorrhoids.
• Tarosin may be recommended as part of postoperative treatment to help reduce the risk of excessive bleeding and to support the healing of capillaries affected by surgery.
• Tarosin can be used to treat Raynaud's syndrome, a condition in which the fingers and toes may turn white or blue due to excessive contraction of the blood vessels. The medicine helps improve peripheral circulation and reduce associated symptoms.
• Tarosin can be used to treat chronic venous insufficiency, a condition characterised by difficulty in transporting blood back to the heart due to poor blood flow in the veins of the legs. The medicine helps to strengthen and protect the capillaries, thereby improving blood circulation.
• Tarosin may be recommended for the prevention and reduction of gum bleeding, especially in patients with gingivitis or periodontitis, conditions characterised by inflammation and bleeding of the gums.

Tarosin is contraindicated in the following situations:

• Hypersensitivity to rutoside, ascorbic acid or any of the components of the medicine;
• Patients with diabetes mellitus, as it contains sugar;
• The use of Tarosin is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, as the elimination of the medicine may be impaired and excessive accumulation of active substances in the body may occur.
• Tarosin should be administered with caution to patients with coagulation disorders or receiving anticoagulant medication, as it may increase the risk of bleeding.
• The safety and efficacy of Tarosin in children and adolescents have not yet been established.
• Therefore, this medicine is not recommended for use in this age group unless specifically prescribed by a doctor.
• Tarosin may interact with certain medicines or supplements. It is important to inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking, including those obtained without a prescription and dietary supplements, to avoid unwanted interactions.

Each Tarosin tablet contains the following active substances:

Rutoside (biflavonoid) 20 mg, which acts at the capillary level, improving their functionality by reducing abnormal interstitial diffusion and increasing resistance.

Ascorbic acid in a quantity of 50 mg, which is involved in stimulating cellular respiration and the synthesis of collagen and fundamental substances in interstitial tissue, reducing the risk of haemorrhages by reducing capillary fragility.

Both substances also have chelating properties, and rutoside protects ascorbic acid from oxidation, thus amplifying their effects.

Tarosin should be taken on an empty stomach with very little water, at intervals of 2-3 hours. The recommended dose for adults is 1-3 tablets per day.

Like any other medicine, Tarosin may cause side effects in some people. Possible side effects include:

Minor gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea, vomiting or abdominal discomfort;

Allergic reactions, such as skin rash, itching or swelling of the face;

In rare cases, diarrhoea may occur.
