ACTION AND DESCRIPTION

Healing of acute and chronic rectal wounds and dermatological lesions of the rectum. It is an adjuvant treatment to other treatments for hemorrhoids or other rectal conditions such as painful anal fissures, cracks in the skin (anal fissures), and mucous membranes of the rectal area (rectal fistulas). It alleviates the discomfort caused by anal fissures, reduces bleeding during defecation, and promotes healing.

COMPOSITION

White suppository containing a cross-linked copolymer, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Suppositories should be administered rectally using the rounded end, if possible after defecation and cleaning the area.

Separate a suppository from the blister by cutting along the perforated edge, tear it by gently pulling the sides to remove the suppository.

Insert the suppository deep into the rectum through the rounded end, it is advisable to adopt a position slightly bent forward.

Unless otherwise directed by your doctor, it should be administered once a day, preferably before going to sleep.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

No adverse effects have been observed with its use. In susceptible individuals, it is normal to experience minor skin irritation in the rectal area, such as a slight itching or burning sensation. The suppository may have a mild laxative effect. If you experience adverse effects, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package. The expiration date is the last day of the month indicated on the package. Due to its macromolecular structure, UniGel Procto does not penetrate the body, so the suppositories can be used by everyone, including pregnant and breastfeeding women. However, you should always consult your doctor first. If you suffer from rectal problems, anal hygiene and regular bowel movements are particularly important. For this reason, you should ensure that you drink enough fluids, avoid spicy foods, and include an adequate amount of fiber in your diet. If the problem does not clear up within 7 days or worsens, consult your doctor.
