Borna ointment is a mild antiseptic intended for local use on the skin of adults and children over 11 years of age.
The active substance of the medicine is boric acid (100 mg/ 1 g) which has the following effects:
- battery and fungistatic,
- astringent, dry,
- antiseptic,
- anti-inflammatory.
Borna ointment changes the pH, acidifying the environment of the diseased tissue. Due to this fact, it not only has antiseptic properties, but also has mild anti-inflammatory properties.
