MD-SMALL JOINTS

Description
Medical device based on porcine type I collagen for reducing pain and improving mobility of small joints (hand, foot, ankle).

How to use
- Periarticular: the needle is inserted close to the joint, parallel to the capsular plane, to a depth of 6-13 mm.
- Intraarticular: the needle is inserted perpendicular to the skin into the small joints.
RECOMMENDED NEEDLES
Periarticular: 26G x 13 mm needle.
Intramuscular: 20G x 20 mm needle.
Note: Perform a thorough skin disinfection with povidone iodine or chlorhexidine.

THERAPEUTIC PROTOCOL
1-2 injections per week to limit physiological or pathological damage to small joints and ligaments. Results are already evident from the third week, but depending on the patient's clinical situation, treatment can be safely continued until the tenth week.

warnings
Pain in the hands, feet, and small joints requires differential diagnosis with primary neuralgia, posttraumatic pain, and pain secondary to recent or previous bone fractures.
Slight redness at the injection site may be caused by the mechanical effect of the needle or a skin reaction. Application may cause burning/pain at the injection site, which generally disappears within 5-10 minutes after treatment.
Skin cleansing/disinfection is necessary before and after application. Pyogenic bacteria can cause abscesses at the injection site.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use after the expiry date. The expiry date applies to the product in its intact and properly stored packaging. Use the product immediately after opening.

Pack of 5 and 10 vials (2 ml each - extractable volume).
