NOW® E-400 Natural + Selenium contains natural vitamin E – an important antioxidant and first line of defense against lipid peroxidation. This product contains mixed tocopherols in both their natural and unesterified forms, as well as gamma-tocopherol. Emerging research indicates that gamma-tocopherol, the most abundant form of vitamin E in food, has important and unique functions. These functions center on its ability to detoxify reactive nitrogen species, a particularly destructive form of free radicals. Furthermore, gamma-tocopherol captures and removes free radicals from the body in a way that alpha-tocopherol cannot. Selenium contributes to the maintenance of healthy hair and nails, and the proper functioning of the thyroid gland and immune system.
Recommended intake:
Take 1 capsule daily with a meal.
Ingredients:
Vitamin E – D-alpha tocopherol, mixed tocopherols; carrier – soybean oil; selenium-enriched yeast; capsule – beef gelatin; dissolving agents: vegetable glycerin, water; glazing agent: beeswax; emulsifying agent: soy lecithin.
Contains ingredients derived from processed soy (non-GMO). Does not contain titanium dioxide.
