ACTION AND MECHANISM

- It appears to act by modulating estrogen receptors, resulting in an improvement of menopausal symptoms.

PATIENT ADVICE

PATIENT ADVICE: - Patients should discontinue treatment and notify their doctor if they experience any of the following symptoms: unusual tiredness, stomach pain with nausea, brown urine, yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes (jaundice). - Patients with a history of liver problems should not take this medication. If they are already taking it, they should consult their doctor. - Patients who have not experienced problems during treatment and have noticed clear signs of improvement may continue treatment. - If, during treatment, there is a feeling of pressure and swelling in the breasts, a return of menstruation, or persistent and undefined discomfort, the clinical situation should be evaluated.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the rhizome of Cimicifuga racemosa L.

INDICATIONS

- [MENOPAUSE]: Treatment of symptoms related to menopause, such as hot flashes, sweating, sleep disturbances, tiredness, nervousness and mood changes.

GUIDELINES FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION

The tablets should be swallowed without chewing, with some water.

POSOLOGY

Oral administration. - Adults: 1 tablet every 12 hours (morning and evening). The first therapeutic results are observed after two weeks of treatment. Since the results obtained are better after prolonged administration, a treatment period of 3 to 6 months is recommended.

PRECAUTIONS

- Hormone-dependent tumors (breast cancer, uterine cancer, endometrial cancer): The lack of studies in women with hormone-dependent tumors advises against its use in this population. - Hepatitis, liver failure: Patients with a history of liver disorders should not take this medicine. Cimicifuga racemosa has been associated with cases of liver disorders.

PRECAUTIONS RELATING TO EXCIPIENTS

This medicine contains lactose. Patients with hereditary lactose or galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

- May occasionally cause digestive disturbances. - [HEPATOTOXICITY]: Cases of acute liver injury of varying severity have been reported. Although there has been a temporal relationship between the occurrence of these injuries and the use of this medication, a causal relationship has not been definitively established.

OVERDOSE

In case of overdose, gastrointestinal disturbances may intensify. In this case, treatment should be discontinued and the clinical situation evaluated.
