Simethicone + Activated charcoal

Description
A medical device that effectively relieves symptoms of bloating in both the stomach (aerophagia) and intestines (flatulence) caused by gas accumulation. It relieves associated cramps and pain and prevents flatulence and belching.
The effectiveness of the device is due to the anti-foaming action of simethicone, combined with the adsorbent action of activated charcoal on intestinal gases: the action is therefore based exclusively on mechanical phenomena.
The dual structure of the tablet allows the release of approximately 50% of the ingredients in the gastric environment within 15 minutes of administration of the device, while complete disintegration of the tablet occurs in the intestinal environment within 1 hour.
The components are not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and do not interfere with the absorption of nutrients.

How to use
• Adults: it is recommended to take 1 or 2 tablets at the end of each main meal, up to a maximum of 4 tablets per day.
• Children aged 14 to 18 years: 1 tablet at the end of each main meal, up to a maximum of 2 tablets per day.

Remove the tablet from the blister, being careful not to break it, and take it with a glass of water.

components
One double-layer tablet contains: simethicone 50 mg, charcoal 300 mg.
Excipients: maltodextrin, sucrose, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, polyvinylpyrrolidone, colloidal silica, croscarmellose sodium, polyvinylpolypyrrolidone, glycerol behenate, silicon dioxide, vegetable magnesium stearate.

Do not use on persons under 14 years of age.
Keep out of reach of children.
In the case of subjects with difficulty swallowing, it is recommended to administer the medical device with plenty of water.
Do not use the device after the expiration date printed on the packaging and blister.
Do not use if packaging is damaged.
Each tablet is for single use only and should be removed from the package immediately before administration; do not attempt to reuse partially used tablets (crushed or broken) or tablets removed from the blister at an unknown time, as this method of use could pose a risk of product contamination.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Do not use if you have known gastric or intestinal damage.
Do not use if intestinal blockage occurs.
Do not take this medical device concomitantly with other oral devices or medications: the adsorbing properties of activated charcoal and simethicone may reduce their effectiveness. Consult your doctor if you are currently taking any other medications.
Simethicone may reduce the effectiveness of some diagnostic reagents, such as guaiac gum.
It is not recommended to use the device in case of known hypersensitivity of the user to one of the components.
Since there is insufficient data to support its use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in these cases, use the device only when truly necessary and only after consulting your doctor.
At recommended doses, a brownish discoloration of the stool may be observed due to the presence of charcoal. This phenomenon is completely normal and does not imply any pathological significance.
No known medium/long-term side effects have been reported.
The device does not negatively affect sensory capabilities (attention level, ability to drive or perform activities).

Conservation
Store the tablets in the blister in a dry place, away from direct light or heat. Remove the tablets only when in use. Store the device below 25°C.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 30 months.
