How are silicone scar patches used?

The duration of treatment is crucial, i.e., how long should Sutricon scar patches be used? The effects are visible after just one month, but the full treatment period takes longer and depends on many individual factors. The most important are the size and type of scar, as well as genetic predisposition. Scars heal faster in children, while the time required for complete skin regeneration is longer in older individuals. To achieve satisfactory results, the product must be used regularly and the instructions for use followed. The average treatment duration is:

• at least 3 months for fresh scars
• at least 6 months for older scars.

If you have a tendency to develop abnormal scars, such as keloids or scar tissue, we recommend using Sutricon patches for the entire scar reconstruction period, even up to 1 year.

Precautions:

Sutricon patches cannot be used on:

• Open wounds
• Oozing wounds
• Burns
