WeJoint Plus Large Breeds, 120 tablets

It is a new generation supplement for dogs and cats, developed to provide nutritional support and strengthen joint health.

Composition:

• GLUCOSAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE: It is indispensable for the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, a component of cartilage and synovial fluid. It allows increased mobility, elasticity and load-bearing capacity of joint structures. The hydrochloride form ensures increased bioavailability.
• CHONDROITIN SULFATE: Stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans in chondrocytes, which gives cartilage the ability to absorb shock. It also maintains the balance and water content of cartilage and, together with collagen, provides tensile strength. It has the role of keeping synovial fluid fluid and healthy.
• METHYLSUPHONYLMETHANE (MSM): It is able to reduce and control the pain resulting from joint degeneration processes. It allows for increased joint mobility and offers a clear improvement in quality of life.
• HARPAGOPHYTUM PROCUMBENS (Purified Standardized Extract): It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, especially in painful joint manifestations. Studies indicate that it can inhibit both the arachidonic acid metabolism pathway, the cyclooxygenase (COX) pathway and the lipoxygenase (LOX) pathway, reducing the production of eicosanoids, such as prostaglandins. Regarding the inhibition of the COX pathway, Harpago seems to specifically inhibit COX-2, but not COX-1, which explains its high tolerance and reduced side effects, unlike some NSAIDs that inhibit both isoforms of the enzyme.
• KRILL OIL: The most bioactive and pure source of Omega 3 fatty acids – eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) – with demonstrated anti-inflammatory action in the control and expression of pro- and anti-inflammatory mediators (cytokines and leukotrienes) and COX-2 gene expression. Rich in astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant from the carotenoid family, with demonstrated anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. The incorporation of astaxanthin into micelles formed from omega 3 phospholipids allows for adequate absorption, resulting in high bioavailability of krill oil.
• HYDROLYZED COLLAGEN TYPE II: Collagen has a structural role in the joints, being the major constituent of cartilage. Type II collagen has a specific action in the joints, reducing inflammation, as well as the degradation of collagen, already present in the joint. The presence of type II collagen leads to a decrease in the immune response and the expression of collagenase, responsible for the destructive cycle of cartilage.
• ZINC SULPHATE: A key dietary element, essential for enzymatic processes throughout the body. It is particularly important in the formation of cartilage.
• MANGANESE: This trace element is the most common cofactor for glycosyltransferases, enzymes essential in the synthesis of proteoglycans, necessary for the formation of cartilage and bone.
• VITAMIN C: It is the body's main antioxidant. Ascorbic acid neutralizes the effects of free radicals produced in the structure of the joint. It also plays an important metabolic role in joint functions.
