Description Enterosgel
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Enterosgel from Bioline is a product that helps detoxify the body, promotes the elimination of toxins from the body, restores the intestinal flora and protects the mucous membrane. It acts as an intestinal adsorbent and is based on organic silicon and purified water.
Forms of release
Enterosgel is available in two forms:
- Enterosgel gel – 225 g tube;
- Enterosgel sachets – box of 10 sachets, 15 g each.
Indications for use
Enterosgel has several benefits: it detoxifies the body, helps eliminate toxic substances, pathogens and allergens, supports the restoration of intestinal flora and protects the gastrointestinal mucosa. It is also indicated in the treatment of certain gastrointestinal disorders and conditions, such as bloating, infectious diarrhoea, dyspepsia or indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhoea, traveller's diarrhoea, intestinal flora imbalances, food poisoning, ulcers, and as an adjunctive therapy in antibiotic treatment. It also promotes the elimination of alcohol from the body.
How Enterosgel works: The active substance is an organic silicon polymer compound with a gel-like consistency and a porous structure. It binds to certain harmful substances in the body without affecting the beneficial ones. It also forms a protective film in the gastrointestinal tract, protecting against irritants and promoting the healing of certain lesions or erosions.
Dosage and administration
Dosage and method of use vary depending on the form of the product and age. The recommended dose is 1 tablespoon (15 g) 3 times a day for adults or 2-3 teaspoons (10-15 g) 3 times a day for children over 5 years of age. For younger children, aged 1-5 years, 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 g) 3 times a day is recommended, and for children under 1 year of age, 1/3 teaspoon (1.7 g) 3 times a day is administered.
Doses may vary depending on indications and health problems. For example, for acute diarrhoea, take 2 standard doses and then 1 dose after each bowel movement. Treatment should be stopped 5 days after the diarrhoea stops. In cases of severe poisoning, the standard dose may sometimes be doubled in the first 3 days.
How to take Enterosgel: Enterosgel should be taken 1-2 hours before or after eating or taking other medicines. Enterosgel gel should be dissolved in a glass of water and then consumed. In children, the dose of the product can be mixed with water, milk, juice or purees in a ratio of 1:3.
How long to take Enterosgel: The duration of treatment depends on the indications and reasons for treatment. The duration may vary from a few days to 10-14 days when used for detoxification of the body.
