Forms of release
Feminella products are available in the following forms:
- Feminella Hyalosoft, 10 ovules, Angelini
- Feminella Vagi C, 6 vaginal tablets, Angelini
- Feminella Hereditum, capsules, Biosearch
Feminella Hyalosoft ovules contain 5 mg of sodium hyaluronate, 10 mg of vitamin E, 60 mg of Centella asiatica extract, 60 mg of marshmallow, 60 mg of chamomile, 2 mg of tea tree oil, 20 mg of colloidal silicon dioxide and semi-synthetic glycerides.
Indications for use
Feminella ovules are indicated for the health of the female reproductive system. They are recommended for various problems of the reproductive system, such as vaginal dryness, vaginal atrophy and vaginal discomfort.
Treatment with Feminella Hyalosoft ovules has a moisturising effect on the vaginal mucosa and is indicated for the relief of vaginal dryness caused by menopause, after childbirth, during breastfeeding or other hormonal changes, as well as during chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Hyalosoft ovules can be used to reduce tension or discomfort during sexual intercourse.
Feminella Vagi C ovules contain 250 mg of vitamin C, magnesium stearate and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. Feminella Vagi C ovules are designed to balance the physiological pH of the intravaginal environment, thereby inhibiting the growth of unwanted germs at this level. Feminella VagiC ovules are a product indicated for the prevention and treatment of vaginosis, in cases of recurrence or in patients who develop such bacterial infections after antibiotic treatment.
Dosage and administration
Dosage and method of administration vary depending on the individual product. Feminella vaginal ovules are administered intravaginally – usually 1 ovule per day for 10-20 days, followed by 1 maintenance ovule twice a week. Vaginal tablets are administered 1 per day for a minimum of 6 days. It is preferable to administer Feminella ovules in the evening, before bedtime.
Feminella Hereditum is a different product, a probiotic that supports the microflora and is administered 1 capsule per day, during meals. Depending on the purpose for which you are taking this probiotic, the duration of treatment varies. Thus, in the acute phase of mastitis, the treatment duration is at least 21 days. For the prevention of mastitis, it is important to administer the product during periods when the risk of mastitis is increased, especially in the first 3 months after birth. Prevention can, however, be started in the last trimester of pregnancy.
Contraindications
The product is contraindicated in case of allergy or sensitivity to any of the ingredients. It is not recommended in case of suspected vaginal fungal infection, as acidification of the vaginal pH may lead to fungal proliferation. Do not use damaged ovules or tablets to avoid accidental injury during insertion.
