Grip Stop
Description Grip Stop
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Grip Stop is a decongestant and protective nasal spray, available as a medical device, designed to support the health of the upper respiratory tract through a predominantly mechanical and protective mechanism of action. The product is intended especially for children, but can also be used in adults, with the role of preventing and treating functional nasal obstruction and reducing the use of vasoconstrictors, which, with prolonged use, can produce adverse effects.
Forms of release
Grip Stop is available as a nasal spray in a 20 ml bottle with a special applicator that allows for easy and uniform administration of the solution to the nasal mucosa. The liquid pharmaceutical form ensures optimal dispersion of the active ingredients and effective penetration into the nasal cavity.
The solution is buffered to pH 7.0, which ensures high compatibility with the physiological environment of the nasal mucosa, reducing the risk of irritation.
Indications for use
With its innovative content—including lactoferrin, carboxymethyl β-glucan, D-panthenol, and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate—Grip Stop differs from classic nasal sprays, exerting not only a decongestant effect, but also an anti-inflammatory and reparative effect on the nasal mucosa.
Grip Stop is indicated in the following situations:
- Treatment and prevention of functional nasal obstruction in children and adults, including in the context of colds or nasal congestion
- Allergic rhinitis in children, helping to reduce symptoms such as congestion, itching, or rhinorrhea
- Protection of the nasal mucosa against external aggressions (polluted air, dust, allergens, pathogens)
- Alternative to vasoconstrictors, especially in patients for whom they are contraindicated or for whom their long-term use is not recommended.
Dosage
The usual recommended dose is 2 sprays in each nostril, twice a day, or as recommended by your doctor. Regular administration maintains a constant decongestant and protective effect.
The duration of use may vary depending on the symptoms, but the product can also be used prophylactically during periods of increased exposure to allergens or respiratory infections.
Contraindications
GripStop is not recommended in the following situations:
- Known hypersensitivity to any of the product's components (e.g., lactoferrin, dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, excipients)
- Severe lesions of the nasal mucosa or recurrent epistaxis, where the use of sprays may aggravate irritation
Special instructions for use
The product has a mechanical and protective mechanism of action, reducing the risk of dependence or damage to the nasal mucosa compared to classic vasoconstrictors.
The product can also be used for longer periods without the risk of medication-induced rhinitis, a phenomenon characteristic of vasoconstrictor decongestants.
Side effects
Grip Stop has a high safety profile, with adverse reactions being rare and mild. Possible side effects:
- Transient burning sensation or local irritation of the nasal mucosa
- Very rarely, hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash, itching)
Interactions with other drugs and food
Grip Stop has no significant interactions with systemically administered drugs, as its action is local and mechanical.
It can be used concomitantly with oral or intranasal antihistamines, topical corticosteroids, or other treatments for allergic rhinitis without the risk of negative interactions. However, to ensure maximum effectiveness of each treatment, it is recommended to maintain an interval of 15–20 minutes between the application of Grip Stop and other nasal sprays.
Overdose
With a local and mechanical mechanism of action, the risk of overdose is extremely low. Use in quantities greater than those recommended may only cause local discomfort (feeling of increased congestion or irritation of the mucosa).
Storage conditions
Store at room temperature (below 25°C), away from direct light and heat sources. Do not freeze. Once opened, it is recommended to use the product within the expiry date stated on the packaging. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
