GripVis can be used as an adjuvant in upper respiratory tract infections caused by viruses - it forms a protective barrier against the viruses responsible for colds and flu.
Forms of release
GripVis is available in the following forms:
- GripVis nasal spray
- GripVis throat, throat spray
- GripVis lozenges
What does GripVis contain? This product contains 10 mg iota-carrageenan (Carragelose®), isomalt, yellow colouring agent and flavourings (honey, menthol, lemon-mint). Carragelose® is a substance that stabilises the moisturising film on the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat formed when the lozenge dissolves in the mouth. The moisturising film is preserved, forming a physiological barrier against external factors.
Indications for use
It can be used to prevent and treat colds and flu and helps to moisturise the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and throat - for example in cases of coughing or hoarseness. It can be administered prophylactically during the cold season or in situations where there is an increased risk of airborne viral infection (travel, use of public transport, crowded indoor public spaces, etc.) or curatively as a treatment for early cold symptoms (e.g. sore throat, tingling in the nose, nasal secretions).
Dosage and administration
GripVis nasal spray is administered by spraying – 1 spray at least 3 times a day in each nostril. If symptoms do not improve after a week, consult your doctor. GripVis throat spray is administered by spraying into the throat, 1 spray at least 3 times a day. GripVis tablets are administered 1 tablet several times a day, usually 3-6 times a day or as needed, without exceeding 6 tablets per day. The tablets can be taken for a longer period, if necessary, up to 30 days.
For spray administration, remove the protective cap and pump several times, if necessary, until a uniform puff is released. To avoid minor incidents, the sprayer should be inserted carefully into each nostril. When spraying, hold the bottle upright. For hygiene reasons, the bottle should be used by one person only to avoid the transmission of pathogens.
Contraindications
GripVis acts locally and is not absorbed by the cells of the pharyngeal mucosa. Patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the product's components should seek medical advice regarding the use of GripVis.

The product is generally safe and no drug interactions are known. However, it is advisable to inform your doctor about any treatments you are taking.
