Gynophilus tablets, together with antifungal and anti-infective treatment, restore the vaginal microbiota, reduce intimate discomfort, itching, burning sensation, vaginal dryness and abnormal vaginal discharge. They normalise the vaginal pH because lactobacilli start producing lactic acid and form a protective barrier against bacteria and fungi.

Gynophilus ovules can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but only as directed by your doctor.

Both products are recommended for restoring the vaginal flora – Gynophilus and the specific version of Optibac – Optibac For Women. This version of Optibac contains ingredients that support intimate health and restore a healthy pH. Gynophilus contains Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus Lcr35, a strain of lactobacilli naturally present in the vagina. OptiBac contains Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1.

Both products are recommended for regulating the vaginal bacterial flora. Astarte is an oral supplement. It contains beneficial bacteria that maintain vaginal balance and physiological pH.

Gynophilus and Mastrelle Flora Plus are vaginal tablets that balance the vaginal pH and restore the protective biofilm in the vagina.

Mastrelle Flora Plus contains a biologically active prebiotic complex, combined with sodium hyaluronate, vitamin C and vitamin E. It is recommended as a supportive treatment for bacterial vaginitis or vaginal candidiasis, to prevent frequent bacterial vaginal infections and to prevent imbalances in the vaginal flora during antibiotic treatment.

Both products are recommended for reducing vaginal discomfort and restoring the balance of the vaginal flora. However, some Multi-Gyn products have different actions. The range includes several products. Multi-Gyn Actigel, for example, is recommended for treating bacterial vaginosis and contains extracts of Aloe barbadensis, Chamomilla recutita and Calendula officinalis. It relieves discomfort, promotes cell regeneration in the vagina, regulates pH and prevents dryness of the mucous membrane. It is available in a tube with an applicator. Multi-Gyn FloraPlus treats the symptoms of vaginal candidiasis and contains a patented complex with selective prebiotics.

These two products have different actions. While Gynophilus ovules contain Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus Lcr35, a strain of lactobacilli naturally present in the vagina, Flagyl contains metronidazole. Gynophilus restores the vaginal flora and can be combined with an anti-infective or antifungal treatment. Flagyl is recommended for treating different types of infections (parasitic or bacterial), including non-specific vaginitis. Flagyl comes in tablet form and is taken by mouth.
