Forms of release
The Herbitussin range is available in several forms of administration to meet the varied needs of patients: tablets or lozenges, spray or lollipops.
Herbitussin Tuse contains 12 lozenges with emollient and protective action for the throat mucosa.
Herbitussin Cough Spray is an oral spray in a 30 ml bottle, suitable for children over 1 year of age and adults, easy to administer, with direct local action.
Herbitussin Cough and Sore Throat contains 12 pleasant-tasting lozenges containing a complex combination of natural extracts, honey and vitamin C, suitable for adults and children over 6 years of age. Herbitussin Sinus and Sore Throat contains 12 lozenges with essential oils of mint and eucalyptus.
Herbitussin lozenges come in packs of 4, have a pleasant orange flavour and are suitable for children over 4 years of age.
Indications for use
Herbitussin products are recommended for:
- soothing dry and irritating coughs;
- reducing dryness and pain in the throat;
- protecting and regenerating the oral and pharyngeal mucosa in pharyngitis and tonsillitis;
- relieving hoarseness and vocal discomfort;
- preventing the worsening of symptoms caused by viral or bacterial infections;
- protecting the upper respiratory tract in conditions of exposure to dry air, pollution, smoke or vocal overexertion.
Dosage
The dosage varies depending on the pharmaceutical form, the age of the users and the doctor's instructions.
Herbitussin Cough tablets: 1-2 lozenges 3 times a day, as needed, for adults and children over 4 years of age.
Herbitussin Spray: in children over 1 year of age, 1-2 sprays should be administered to the back of the throat several times a day, and in adults, 2-3 sprays should be administered several times a day.
Herbitussin Cough and Sore Throat Lozenges: for children between 6 and 12 years of age, administer 2 lozenges per day, and for children over 12 years of age and adults, administer 3 lozenges per day. Allow the lozenges to dissolve slowly in the mouth.
Contraindications
Herbitussin should not be used by people with known hypersensitivity to any of the product's ingredients, including plant extracts, honey, hyaluronic acid or excipients. The products are not intended for children under the minimum age specified for each form of presentation.
Special instructions
In patients with chronic respiratory conditions (asthma, chronic bronchitis), Herbitussin can be used as an adjunct during acute phases.
Herbitussin does not contain any aggressive medicinal substances, making it suitable for frequent or long-term use under medical supervision in complex cases.
Side effects

Storage conditions
