Obesimed is a medicine indicated for weight loss, recommended for adults over 18 years of age who are overweight or obese. It provides a feeling of fullness, thus reducing food intake.
Forms of release
Obesimed from Lucovital is available in the following variants:
- Obesimed Forte
- Obesimed Bloc
Obesimed Forte contains plant ingredients such as Omtec19, Omtec20, Amylum solan, Oleum helianthus, titanium oxide and hypromellose. Omesimed Bloc contains Omtec50, magnesium stearate and silicon, titanium dioxide and hypromellose.
Indications for use
Obesimed is indicated for weight loss in adults over 18 years of age who are overweight or obese. It is only indicated for those with a minimum excess weight of 10 kilograms or a BMI (body mass index) of 28 or more. It works by absorbing water within 30-60 minutes – the Obesimed supplement can absorb hundreds of times its own weight in water. When the capsule dissolves, it forms a stable viscous gel in the stomach, which gives a feeling of fullness. This reduces appetite and, consequently, calorie intake. Mixing the gel with food also slows down the digestion process.
Dosage and administration
The recommended dose of Obesimed is 1-2 capsules 3 times a day. The dose is determined individually for each patient. The dose can be gradually increased until the feeling of hunger is reduced. However, the above doses should not be exceeded.
How to take Obesimed: Obesimed capsules should be taken one hour before meals with a large glass of water or more.
How long to take Obesimed: Treatment with Obesimed should not exceed 30 days. Take a 4-day break and then the treatment can be resumed.
Contraindications
Treatment is contraindicated in case of allergy or sensitivity to the ingredients of the product. It is also contraindicated in case of normal or low weight. It is not recommended in case of gastrointestinal disorders, oesophageal stenosis, intestinal abnormalities, pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Interactions with other medicines and foods
Obesimed lowers blood sugar levels, so blood sugar should be monitored closely if you have diabetes. Diabetes medication may need to be adjusted. Mineral supplements or multivitamins may be necessary to prevent deficiencies.
Side effects
Obesimed is generally well tolerated, but may sometimes cause side effects. Initially, gastrointestinal symptoms such as infrequent or loose stools, diarrhoea, reflux or constipation and abdominal gas may occur. These effects usually subside after a few days. For this reason, it is recommended to start with small doses and gradually increase the amount as your body adjusts. In case of persistent or severe side effects, seek medical advice.
Overdose
Use the recommended doses and do not take more than recommended to prevent serious side effects or overdose.
Storage conditions
The product should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat, in its original container. Keep out of the reach of children.
