TranzActiv is available in the following forms:

TranzActiv is indicated for constipation of any cause (acute, chronic, primary, functional, habitual, secondary, drug-induced, etc.) and to maintain optimal bowel transit. It does not cause abdominal pain, diarrhoea, faecal incontinence or dependence. It can also be recommended as a purgative for emptying the bowels before a medical examination or preoperative procedure. It is sometimes used as an adjuvant in medical conditions where painful and strained defecation should be avoided, such as after surgery, in cases of hypertension, haemorrhoids, hernia, or stroke. It can improve bowel transit 6-8 hours after administration and leads to the elimination of 1-2 soft or semi-liquid stools.

The recommended dose of TranzActiv for constipation is 1-2 tablets per day, with liquids. The medicine is administered in the evening at bedtime, so that the next morning a stool (soft or semi-liquid consistency) is eliminated. Doses for children and pregnant women are prescribed by a doctor. The syrup is administered according to age – 2.5 ml for children aged 5-8 years, 5 ml for children aged 8-12 years, 10 ml for children aged 12-18 years and 10-15 ml for adults. In the case of TranzActiv effervescent (TranzActiv plus vitamin C), 1 tablet per day is administered, dissolved in 200 ml of water.

How long to take Tranzactiv: In general, treatment with TranzActiv laxative should not exceed 14 days to avoid the risk of dependence. Subsequently, treatment can be resumed after a period of 1-2 weeks.

TranzActiv is contraindicated in cases of allergy and hypersensitivity to any of the product's ingredients. It is also contraindicated in cases of acute surgical abdomen. Otherwise, it is considered a safe medicine when administered as recommended. However, consult your doctor before taking TranzActiv if you have a history of allergies, acute or intense abdominal pain, intestinal obstruction or perforation, or rectal bleeding of unknown cause.

TranzActiv should not be taken within 2 hours of taking another medicine, as it may interfere with the absorption of that medicine.

Possible side effects after taking TranzActiv include diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting, and allergic reactions. Inform your doctor if such reactions occur. Other possible side effects include changes in urine colour, oedema or abdominal cramps.

As with any medicine, this medicine may cause adverse effects in case of overdose, such as loose stools or diarrhoea. Use as recommended by your doctor or as needed.

Store the product in a dry and cool environment, away from moisture and heat.
