Description
Debutir is a food for special medical purposes in the form of capsules, which contains the sodium salt of butyric acid (sodium butyrate) in the form of microgranules. Butyric acid is the basic energy material for the gastrointestinal epithelium. The use of modern microgranulation technology in the Debutir product, unlike standard forms of butyric acid, protects against complete utilization in the upper gastrointestinal tract and allows butyric acid to be delivered to the small and large intestine. The vast majority of microgranules pass with the food content into the small intestine and then into the large intestine, where additional amounts of sodium butyrate are released from the microgranules. The composition of the microgranules is selected so that the process of releasing sodium butyrate takes place along the entire length of the small and large intestine.
