Glubifer Complex, 30 capsules, Therapy

Indications:
Posthemorrhagic (microcytic) iron-deficiency anemias, due to achlorhydria, pregnancy, nutritional anemias of infants, secondary to infections, parasitic infestation or cancer; macrocytic anemias treated with cyanocobalamin; states of larval sideropenia in growing children, young girls, in case of chronic hemorrhages; for the prophylaxis of iron deficiency in pregnancy, in children, young girls, in blood donors.

Therapeutic action:
Iron intake in a form well tolerated digestively; specifically corrects iron deficiency anemia.

Mode of administration:
Adults: 3-6 tablets/day (on an empty stomach or at meals, if digestive irritation occurs); children: 1-2 tablets/day. The treatment starts with small doses, which are gradually increased; it is administered until the hemoglobin values ​​normalize or for a long time (under hemoglobinemia control) if the patient is losing blood or when iron needs are increased. For prophylaxis - 1 dragee/day. It can be combined with ascorbic acid (vitamin C), in order to favor intestinal absorption.

Adverse reactions:
Rarely nausea, epigastric pain, constipation or diarrhea (the stool is colored black), dizziness, hot flashes; attention to the risk of accidental acute poisoning in children.

Contraindications:
Hemochromatosis, chronic hemolysis, sideroacrestic anemia, anemia from lead poisoning, thalassemia, severe liver disease, iron allergy or intolerance; severe gastritis, gastric ulcers, esophageal varices, diarrhea, ulcerative colitis, intestinal malabsorption syndrome (injectable iron is recommended). Aluminum, magnesium, calcium and cholestyramine-based antacids reduce iron absorption; iron decreases the absorption of tetracyclines (take at least 3 hour intervals).
