1.Each tablet contains:

• Phospholipids (phospholipidum ex soja)
• Phosphatidylcholine 275mg
• Ornithine as ornithine-L-aspartate-L 275mg

2. Indications:


The product is recommended for strengthening liver functions in dogs with liver disorders or even serious liver failure.

3. Properties and use:

Phospholipids are glyceryl esters of choline phosphoric acid and unsaturated fatty acids (linoleic, linolenic and oleic acids) and have functions of regeneration and protection of liver cells. Due to the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids in the side chains, phospholipids cannot be synthesized by the body. Once released into the body, they are incorporated into the cellular and cytoplasmic membranes of the liver and repair the defects resulting from pathological processes. This allows for the rapid regeneration of affected liver cells and the restoration of the functions of receptor cells, cellular enzyme systems and active and passive transport processes. Phospholipids play a crucial role in the processes of cell division and proliferation. They inhibit the process of fibrosis of liver tissue by reducing collagen production and activating collagenase (an enzyme that destroys collagen). Along with bile acids, phospholipids play an extremely important role in the digestion of fats and the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.

Ornithine regulates the urea cycle of dogs and cats. It plays a role in the transformation and reduction of the toxicity of ammonia resulting from the conversion of amino acids into urea. In particular, in cats, ornithine is very important because they also use amino acids in the process of energy production. As the deamination process in cats involves high energy consumption, ornithine is necessary in their body. Ornithine is also recommended in the treatment of cats diagnosed or suspected of hepatic encephalopathy or in those cases where the animal has gone through a period of starvation.
The combination of phospholipids and ornithine has protective and regenerative properties in treating liver diseases in dogs and cats.

4. Dosage:


Hepatiale FORTE 550 mg - 1 tablet/25 kg live weight

The tablets can be taken whole or crushed, before or with food.
If the daily dosage involves more than one tablet, they can be administered two or three times a day. The animal must have fresh water available at all times. For optimal results, it is recommended to use the product for a period of 1-3 months, and in critical cases up to 6 months.
The correct dosage and administration period depend on the individual needs of the animal and will be determined by a veterinarian.
