Optimized ratio of 2:1 (glucose polymers: fructose)
Excellent digestibility and usability are achieved by optimizing the ratio of individual components, as is natural for a physically stressed body. The ratio between glucose (maltodextrin) and fructose polymers is optimized at 2:1, which corresponds not only to the latest scientific knowledge , but also to the natural system of transporting simple sugars through the wall of the small intestine and breaking them down during physical exertion. .
There are two basic separate transport systems for the absorption of sugars in the small intestine:
- For glucose, it is the GLU2 transport system, which can absorb up to 60 g of glucose per hour
- For fructose (fruit sugar), it is the GLU5 transport system, which can absorb up to 30 g of fructose per hour
Glucose and fructose are therefore two basic natural sources of energy for a physically active organism. For this reason, the ratio of both main components is optimized at 2:1 = 60 g of glucose: 30 g of fructose. Energy Drink thus allows you to consume up to 90 g of carbohydrates in an hour.
- In the case of Energy Drink administration 2-3 days before the performance (glucidic supercompensation), the contained glucose is used to restore muscle glycogen reserves and fructose to restore glycogen reserves in the liver (up to 1/3 of the reserves). The liver serves as a reserve energy/glycogen store for individual muscles.
- When dosing the energy drink during exercise, both glucose and fructose serve as an external source of energy directly for the working muscles. Energy is released through so-called glycolysis, in which glucose is broken down by fructose (or fructose directly) into pyruvate to produce cellular energy ATP.
Energy Drink thus allows you to consume up to 50% more energy compared to standard mass-market products. This is due to the fact that these ordinary products usually contain only glucose and its polymers as a basis, which allows the absorption of only 60 g per hour, which overwhelms the body. Alternatively, they contain sucrose as the main ingredient, which contains glucose and fructose in a suboptimal 1:1 ratio, which is not ideal given the above facts about the absorption system.

Citrate forms of mineral substances = pH+
The Energy Drink contains hydrogen and potassium bound by a chelate bond in the form of citrate. In addition to being a suitable carrier of both minerals, the citrate form also contributes to pH stabilization. Overacidification of the body caused by high load (lactic acid) is known to be one of the factors that reduce performance and subsequent regeneration.

Dosage
One serving = 47g (2 scoops of 23.5g or 1 disposable bag)
1/ During the effort : Dissolve 47 g of the dose in 500 ml of water, shake. Drink during exertion, about 250 ml every 20 minutes (maximum 1-2 doses in an hour). In case of high ambient temperature or high fluid losses (excessive sweating), supplement each dose of Energy Drink (500 ml) with a ZERO Neutral tablet.
2/ Before exercise (especially for dynamic disciplines of short duration). Start drinking about 60-90 minutes before exercise. If more stimulation is needed, the product can be supplemented with Isogel X'treme which contains caffeine, which should be taken approximately 10-15 minutes before the start of the show.

TWO DAYS BEFORE THE RACE: Two days before the race, increase your carbohydrate intake by 10 grams per kilogram of body weight. For a 70 kg runner, this corresponds to an intake of 700 g per day. If it's too much for you, at least try to get as close as possible to this income. most athletes fail to achieve their desired intake because carbohydrate-rich foods are usually very filling and bulky.
