Acne treatment gel Mask plus gel:

Mask Plus gel is a pharmaceutical preparation containing a triple combination of active ingredients, tretinoin, glycolic acid and clindamycin.

Mask Plus gel is the first recommendation of the International Guidelines in mild to moderate acne associated with inflammatory lesions of the papule and pustule type and as an adjunct to oral contraceptives in acne with an androgenetic component.

Mode of action:

• Tretinoin: pharmaceutical retinoid with the most clinical studies demonstrating effectiveness in the treatment of acne vulgaris; helps eliminate whiteheads and blackheads; prevents the reformation of acne lesions and has an anti-inflammatory effect
• Glycolic acid: exfoliant with the effect of faster reduction of acne lesions and local stimulation of collagen. In combination with tretinoin, it prevents post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and the development of post-acne scars
• Clindamycin: a newer generation antibiotic with a superior safety and tolerability profile; it prevents the multiplication of pathogenic bacteria involved in aggravating acne and has an anti-inflammatory effect.

The triple combination of active principles acts to:

The hydrogel is based on Polyvinyl A. (PVA), a non-occlusive pharmaceutical biopolymer that increases compliance and safety of treatment with Mask Plus gel. Studies conducted at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Milan have demonstrated that, due to the association with PVA, tretinoin and clindamycin in the composition of Mask Plus gel do not have a significant systemic absorption and no associated risk of long-term adverse reactions. At the same time, the studies did not reveal any contraindications for the use of the product.
