Properties:

Ingredients:
The aerial part of the plant Mentha piperita L., fam. Lamiaceae, contains volatile oil (menthol, menthone, menthofuran, cineol, limonene), flavonoids, phenolic acids, triterpenes.
Effect:
Antispasmodic, choleretic-cholagogue (stimulates the secretion and elimination of bile), antiemetic (removes the feeling of nausea), antidiarrheal, carminative (helps eliminate intestinal gases), analgesic, antiseptic.
Main uses:
Diarrhea, slow digestion, indigestion, gastrointestinal colic, biliary dyskinesia, bloating, nausea.
Other uses:
Colds, nasal congestion (stuffy nose).
Contraindications:
The recommended doses are not known.
Preparation:
An infusion is prepared from 1 teaspoon of the plant to a cup of water.
Administration method:
Drink 3-4 cups of tea a day.
