Nutilis thickening powder can 2x300 g

Powdered thickening agent for food products (liquids and semi-liquids).
It has a patented amylase-resistant formula (Nutilis "blocks" the action of amylase, preventing food from becoming too liquid and therefore dangerous for the patient to swallow).
The mixture does not change its consistency, allowing the patient to swallow safely.
Neutral taste, does not alter the flavor of the foods to which it is added.
Gluten free.

Food for special medical purposes, indicated for patients with swallowing problems (dysphagia).
Use as a thickening agent for liquids, semi-liquids or mixed meals.

How to use
Preparation guide:
Option 1: with the agitator
1. Pour the drink into the shaker.
2. Add the recommended amount of Nutilis.
3. Screw the cap tightly and shake vigorously until the powder dissolves completely (approximately 5-10 seconds).
4. Gently stir the drink for 1 or 2 minutes.
5. Let it rest for a few minutes until the drink reaches the desired consistency.
Option 2: with a fork or small whisk in a shaker or tall container
1. Pour the drink into a shaker or tall container.
2. Add the recommended amount of Nutilis.
3. Stir vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved.
4. Mix gently for 1 or 2 minutes.
5. Let it rest for a few minutes until the drink reaches the desired consistency.
Option 3: With a fork or small whisk in a cup
1. Pour half of the drink into a mug.
2. Add the recommended amount of Nutilis.
3. Mix until the powder becomes moist and has a homogeneous consistency.
4. Add the remaining liquid to the cup.
5. Stir the drink for about 1-2 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
Let it rest for a few minutes until the drink reaches the desired consistency.
Important: Do not add additional amounts of Nutilis during the resting phase as the liquid will continue to thicken.
Adding additional Nutilis to thickened drinks: After the drink has been thickened with Nutilis, you can add more Nutilis powder to increase the density of the liquid.
To achieve a better result and a homogeneous consistency, we recommend following the instructions below.
For best results, use a shaker.
1. Add about half a measured cup to the thickened liquid.
2. Screw the cap tightly.
3. Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds.
4. Unscrew the lid and mix gently with a fork for a few seconds.
5. Evaluate consistency.
6. If you want to increase the consistency, repeat instructions 1-5, adding a maximum of one cup at a time.
Hot drinks (temperature > 60°C): after preparation, let the liquid rest for a few minutes to reach the desired density.
For best results and for your safety, we recommend letting hot drinks cool slightly before thickening them.
If necessary or desired, drinks can be heated in the microwave after adding Nutilis.

Note: If you want to reheat a thickened hot drink, make sure to reheat it immediately after thickening. Drinks containing milk should be consumed within 2 hours to avoid spoilage.
Important: Do not add more Nutilis at this stage as the liquid will continue to thicken.
Carbonated drinks (cola, lemonade):
For best results, stir the carbonated drink until all the bubbles and most of the foam are gone before adding the Nutilis powder.
