It corresponds to the latest knowledge about the proper development of your baby, including the updated practices of the Czech Gynecological Professional Societies on folic acid, adopted in May 2013. Its high content of folic acid (which is in line with current opinions on nutrition during pregnancy ) exceeds the current common standards on the market in the Czech Republic. Due to the fourth-generation Quatrefolic® folic acid content (the first product in Europe with this state-of-the-art composition), this product is also excellent for poor metabolizers of classic folic acid.

Folic acid is important for the normal growth of germinal tissues during pregnancy. A rich, varied diet can provide about 200 µg of folic acid per day, while the recommended daily intake for adults is 400 µg, for pregnant women 600-1000 µg. In classical poor folic acid metabolizers (heterozygotes) (about 50% of the population) the efficiency of the MTHFR enzyme is reduced to about 75%, in classical poor folic acid metabolizers (homozygotes) (about 10% of the population) the efficiency of the MTHFR enzyme is reduced to about 25%.
