Description Oticsun
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Oticsun is a complex ear spray produced by Sun Wave Pharma for external use in ear hygiene and as an adjunct in the treatment of otitis externa. Formulated with natural ingredients with anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and soothing properties, Oticsun stands out for its ability to create a protective barrier in the external ear canal, helping to reduce inflammation and maintain auditory comfort.
Forms of release
Oticsun is available as an ear spray contained in a 10 ml bottle equipped with a dosing applicator, which ensures easy and hygienic administration.
The bottle contains 200 single, measured doses. The liquid form allows the active substances to be evenly dispersed in the ear canal, ensuring effective contact with the ear mucosa.
Indications for use
Oticsun solution is indicated in the following situations:
- Adjuvant in the treatment of otitis externa, helping to relieve inflammatory and irritative symptoms;
- Reduction of inflammation and discomfort in the ear canal;
- Softening of cerumen (earwax) and prevention of its excessive accumulation;
- Maintenance of ear hygiene in children and adults;
- Soothing and moisturising the skin of the ear canal affected by dryness, irritation or micro-lesions.
Due to the astringent and emollient effects of its composition, Oticsun can also be used as part of preventive ear care protocols, especially in the hot season, when the risk of external otitis is increased due to frequent exposure to water (swimming, frequent showers, etc.).
Dosage
Oticsun should be used strictly according to the instructions in the package leaflet:
- For the adjuvant treatment of otitis:
- Children between 24 months and 12 years: 1 spray in each ear, 2-3 times a day, under adult supervision.
- Children over 12 years and adults: 1 spray in each ear, 3-4 times a day.
- For maintaining ear hygiene:
- Children over 24 months and adults: 1 spray in each ear, 1-2 times a week.

If any unusual reactions occur, use should be discontinued and the patient should be referred to a doctor or pharmacist.
Interactions with other medicines and food
No pharmacological interactions between Oticsun and other medicinal products or medical devices have been documented.
However, it is recommended to avoid using other ear products for 30 minutes after applying Oticsun, so as not to affect its efficacy and to prevent possible local interactions.
Overdose
