Rumak

Rumak is available as a gel for topical application, packaged in 250 g or 500 g bottles. The gel formulation allows for rapid absorption through the skin and uniform distribution of the active ingredients in the affected area.

The gel has a texture that is easy to apply and massage in, which promotes the penetration of the active ingredients into the superficial tissues and allows the therapeutic effect to be achieved quickly.

Rumak gel is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with recent trauma to muscles, tendons and joints, as well as for the reduction of local inflammation and oedema. The product is frequently used in cases of:

• bruises and contusions;
• sprains and dislocations;
• non-bacterial inflammation of the muscles;
• rheumatic conditions;
• injuries to tendons and ligaments;
• localised swelling resulting from intense physical exertion.

Rumak is administered exclusively by topical application to the affected area. The gel is applied in a thin layer and gently massaged until completely absorbed into the skin.

The frequency of application may vary depending on the severity of the injury and the vet’s recommendations, but generally, the product can be used once or twice a day. 

The gentle massage performed during application helps to stimulate local circulation and improve the penetration of the active ingredients into the affected tissues.

The use of Rumak gel is contraindicated in animals with known hypersensitivity to any of the product’s ingredients. Furthermore, the product must not be applied to broken skin, areas with ulcers, open wounds or active skin infections.

Contact of the gel with mucous membranes or the eyes should be avoided, as the active substances may cause local irritation. If any unusual reactions occur after application, use of the product should be discontinued and consultation with a veterinary surgeon is recommended.

Rumak contains a combination of ingredients with complementary pharmacological properties, each contributing to the product’s overall therapeutic effect.

Menthol exerts an immediate cooling effect by stimulating the skin receptors responsible for temperature perception, which results in a sensation of pain and discomfort relief. 

Camphor has anti-rheumatic, anti-neuralgic and anti-inflammatory effects, and is frequently used in topical preparations intended to relieve muscle and joint pain.

To date, no significant adverse reactions have been reported in association with the use of Rumak gel when the product is used as recommended.

However, in rare cases, local skin irritation reactions such as redness, a burning sensation or itching may occur, particularly in animals with increased sensitivity to one of the product’s ingredients. 

No significant interactions between Rumak and other medicines used in veterinary medicine have been reported. 

However, it is recommended to avoid the simultaneous application of other topical products to the same area, as this could alter the absorption of the active substances or increase the risk of skin irritation.

Overdose is unlikely with topical use of Rumak gel. However, excessive or repeated application within a short period of time may cause local irritation or an intense sensation of heat on the skin.

In the event of accidental ingestion or the occurrence of unusual reactions, it is recommended that you seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Rumak gel should be stored in its original packaging, in a place protected from moisture and direct sunlight. The recommended storage temperature is a maximum of 25°C. 

The product must be kept out of the reach of children and animals to prevent accidental ingestion or misuse.
