- EKTAGYN® is a vaginal gel based on 3% ectoine and hyaluronic acid.
- EKTAGYN® is a pH 4.5 medical device intended for use as an adjuvant in the prevention and treatment of vaginal atrophy.
- EKTAGYN® helps maintain the natural hydration of the vaginal mucosa, alleviating the symptoms of vaginal atrophy such as dryness, burning, itching and discomfort during sexual intercourse.
- Ectoine is a low molecular weight amino acid derivative, which has a hydrating and soothing action and has hydrating and protective properties on tissues. Ectoine creates an aqueous defense barrier for the mucous membranes, which are thus strengthened and naturally protected from irritation.
- Hyaluronic acid is a highly soluble, high molecular weight and non-sulphated glycosaminoglycan. Thanks to its muco-mimetic and viscoelastic properties, it ensures good lubrication of the vaginal mucosa.
- The combination of ectoine and hyaluronic acid helps relieve the symptoms of mild to moderate/severe vaginal atrophy, as well as vaginal dryness and irritation upon application and in the long term.
