Description
Droptiva Plus is a medical device in the form of eye drops. Carmellose sodium 1% preservative-free solution is suitable for use in eyes that require additional hydration.
How does carmellose sodium 1% work?
Carmellose (CMC - carboxymethylcellulose ) is a semi-synthetic derivative of cellulose, the solution of which takes the form of mucus. After application to the eye, a 1% carmellose sodium solution increases the time that tears remain on the surface of the eyeball and increases the viscosity of the tear film, which helps protect the eyes from excessive drying, which can be caused by environmental factors such as wind, high temperature and air conditioning and long-term work in front of a computer or phone screen. Thanks to its properties, carmellose protects the eyes against irritation, moisturizing the surface of the eyes and thus relieving the feeling of discomfort. Carmellose creates a protective, transparent and viscoelastic coating on the surface of the eyeball.
The bottle contains 10 ml of sterile, moisturizing Droptiva Plus 1% solution and is equipped with an innovative, patented reusable eye dropper (OSD). The dropper keeps potentially harmful bacteria out of the solution, keeping it sterile for up to 2 months after first use.
