PreNAN® Stage 1 is a dietary food for special medical purposes for the dietary regimen of low, very low and extremely low birth weight premature infants.

Important note: Breast milk is the best food for infants and breastfeeding should continue for as long as possible. PreNAN® Stage 1 is a complete nutritional formula and can be used as the sole source of nutrition, from birth or from 6 months, in parallel with complementary feeding. PreNAN® Stage 1 is used under medical supervision.

Method of preparation:
1. Wash your hands before handling/administration.
2. Check the expiration date on the packaging. Shake the bottle well.
3. Attach a sterile teat.
4. Check the temperature and heat the bottle if necessary, keeping it in water heated to 37°C, taking care not to submerge the teat. DO NOT HEAT IN THE MICROWAVE. Always check the temperature of the formula before feeding.
5. Don't forget: always hold the baby in your arms when you feed him. If you leave it unattended, it can drown. Throw away the unused contents one hour after feeding.

How to use:
The daily volume and dosage per 24 hours is determined according to the doctor's recommendation, depending on the infant's daily needs.

Precautions:
ATTENTION: Incorrect storage, handling, preparation and feeding can have adverse effects on the health of the infant. Follow the instructions exactly. Prepare the bottle and teat exactly as indicated. Do not dilute or add anything to this ready-to-use formula without a doctor's recommendation.

Contraindications:
Do not use PreNAN® Stage 1 (for infants <1800g)
administered in case of GALACTOSEMIA,
GLUCOSE-GALACTOSE malabsorption or in infants diagnosed with lactose intolerance or cow's milk protein allergy. It is not intended for parenteral administration.

Storage conditions:
Keep the product in a cool and dry place, at room temperature, away from sunlight. To be consumed preferably before (see the date indicated on the package).
