PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
The VITAMIN D TEST is designed to determine the level of vitamin D from a fingertip blood sample. Low levels of vitamin D can cause various diseases. These include diseases of the bone system, diabetes, diseases of the circulatory system and autoimmune diseases. By regularly monitoring your vitamin D level, you can accurately determine the doses of preparations to supplement deficiencies.

Vitamin D belongs to the group of fat-soluble vitamins. It is responsible for the proper management of calcium and phosphorus in the body. Vitamin D3 is produced naturally in human skin through exposure to light, and vitamin D2 is mainly obtained from food or supplements. Vitamin D is transported to the liver, where it is stored as 25-hydroxyvitamin D 25(OH)D.
