The COMBO Antigen A/B COVID-19 and RSV Home Check test is a rapid immunochromatographic test designed to detect protein A antigen (including subtype H1N1), influenza B, respiratory virus RSV, and SARS-CoV-2. It allows qualitative and differential detection of these viruses from a self-collected nasal swab sample.

The non-prescription medical device is intended for home use. It can be performed on adults, adolescents and children over 2 years of age with or without symptoms. It is recommended to perform the test within 7 days of the onset of symptoms.

How does the Antigen Combo Test for Influenza A/B, RSV and COVID-19 work?

The over-the-counter medical device uses nanocolloidal gold technology, a highly specific antibody-antigen reaction, and the principles of immunochromatographic analysis technology. Because of these, when an influenza A, influenza B, RSV or SARS-CoV-2 virus antigen is present in the sample, it combines with the corresponding antibodies present on the nitrocellulose membrane. Then a line appears on the test strip in the corresponding field marked T1 or T2. Validity of the test result is indicated by a line in the control strip (C) confirming sufficient sample volume, achieving adequate flow and ensuring reagent quality control.

The test provides a preliminary test result. Any reactive sample in the Milpharm Test Combo Antigen must be confirmed by an alternative test method and clinical results.
