The nutritional value of bee pollen results from its extremely rich chemical composition - more than 250 different compounds have been identified in it. It contains simple sugars (fructose, glucose), fatty acids and more than 30 amino acids (their content in pollen reaches up to 12%!).
According to calculations and comparisons, 100 g of pollen contains as many amino acids as ½ kg of meat or 7 eggs, i.e. 2 full spoons (30 g) of pollen can cover a person's daily requirement of essential amino acids. It consists of pollen from flowering plants collected by bees and partially processed by them. Pollen is formed in small balls, each consisting of about 100,000 pollen grains of different plants.
