FFP3 filter mask – properties

Three classes of FFP (Filtering Face Piece) respirators - FFP1, FFP2, FFP3 - are defined according to their filtering efficiency. The FFP3 class of the FP3225 mask provides the highest filtering efficiency of harmful particles according to the European standard EN 149 for testing and marking the filtering requirements of half masks. The third class of protection means that the mask filters at least 99% of airborne particles (including bioaerosols) with a diameter of 0.3 µm. The penetration level of an FFP3 mask of harmful particles transmitted by droplets is only 1%. The FFP3 filtering half-mask can be used, among other things, to reduce the risk of spreading infection, especially in epidemic or pandemic situations, as well as as an anti-smog mask.

The face mask is made of 5 layers of filter material. The ergonomic shape of the FP3225 filtering half mask allows you to talk and breathe freely, keeping it away from your mouth. The adjustable nose plate helps secure the mask to the face and allows for a tighter seal around the nose. The protective mask is put on using elastic bands made of a combination of nylon and spandex. The FP3225 filtering half-masks are comfortable to wear, even for several hours.
