Upsavit Vitamin C, 1 g, 10 effervescent tablets, Upsa

Indications:
Upsavit Vitamin C is indicated in adults for the treatment of vitamin C deficiency.
In humans, vitamin C deficiency causes a disease called scurvy. Early manifestations of this disease include fatigue, weakness, muscle and joint pain. In more advanced stages, scurvy is characterized by anemia, bleeding gums, hemorrhages under the skin or at the level of the organs and delayed wound healing.
Also, Upsavit Vitamin C is indicated for adults as an adjuvant in maintaining the body's natural resistance to infections, especially respiratory ones, to reduce their severity and duration.

Composition:
- The active substance is ascorbic acid. Each effervescent tablet contains ascorbic acid 1000 mg.
- The other components are: sodium hydrogencarbonate, anhydrous citric acid, sugar, sodium saccharin, macrogol 6000, sodium benzoate, natural orange flavor, twilight yellow dye (E 110).

Mode of administration:
This medicine is only indicated for adults.
The recommended dose is one effervescent tablet per day; it dissolves in half a glass of water.

Contraindications:
Do not use Upsavit Vitamin C:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ascorbic acid or to any of the other components of Upsavit Vitamin C.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
During pregnancy, the need for vitamin C increases, so it can be used by pregnant and lactating women, usually in a dose of up to 500 mg per day.
Vitamin C passes from the maternal blood into the fetal blood through an active transport mechanism.
Vitamin C is excreted in breast milk.
After the administration of large doses of ascorbic acid during pregnancy, paradoxical signs of avitaminosis have been reported in some newborns.
For these reasons and due to the high ascorbic acid concentration of Upsavit Vitamin C, the drug is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, except under the supervision of a doctor.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
No studies have been conducted on the effects of Upsavit Vitamin C on the ability to drive or use machines.
