Description Cystone
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Cystone is a herbal therapeutic adjuvant indicated for renal and urinary disorders, both acute (urinary infections, acting as an antiseptic) and chronic (kidney stones, calciuria), but also for the prevention of stones or infections, and can be used long term.
What is Cystone?
Cystone is a herbal supplement containing: Rubia cordifolia (with antioxidant properties), Didymocarpus pedicellata (antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties), Saxifraga ligulata (which indicates cystone for the kidneys in lithiasis), Achyranthes aspera (adjuvant in acute kidney injury), Cyperus scariosus, Achyranthes aspera, Onosma bracteatum, Vernonia cinerea, Hajrul yahood bhasma (natural calcium oxide), purified Shilajeet.
What is Cystone good for?
Cystone is a dietary supplement used for renal and urinary tract health in infectious and lithiasic conditions. It can be used both as an adjunctive therapy in lithiasis, renal colic and urinary tract infections, and as a preventive measure in individuals prone to recurrent UTIs or crystalluria. Numerous studies have confirmed what Cystone is good for, and some studies show that Cystone is useful in preventing nephrotoxicity caused by certain chemotherapeutic agents, such as platinum salts.
Cystone for cystitis and lower urinary tract infections
Cystitis is an infection of the bladder, which is an inflammation of the lower urinary tract (UTI). Due to their anatomy, women are at greater risk than men of developing UTIs. Episodes often recur, with UTIs becoming recurrent. Typically, cystitis manifests as dysuria (difficulty passing urine), pollakiuria (frequent urination) and pain when urinating.
Sometimes, especially in women, a bladder infection may be present without the symptoms described. In such cases, known as asymptomatic bacteriuria, antibiotic treatment is not indicated. In this case, your doctor may recommend cystone for cystitis, which can restore the balance of the bladder through its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects.
Cystone for kidney stones
Cystone for the kidneys, in the case of kidney stones, is beneficial through several mechanisms. First, Cystone has a direct anti-lithiasis effect, promoting the dissolution and elimination of kidney stones. At the same time, a vicious circle is created in the diseased kidney: kidney stones lead to infections, and infections promote the formation of stones. Cystone for the kidneys is also useful in the prevention of kidney stones by maintaining the pH of the urine and solubilising crystals (precipitation leads to the formation of stones).
How is Cystone administered?
Cystone for acute cystitis is recommended at a dose of 2 tablets twice a day for 10 to 14 days. For prevention of recurrence, 1 tablet twice a day for 6 to 12 weeks is recommended.
Cystone for urinary stones: 2 tablets twice daily for 4 to 6 months or until the stones are eliminated. To prevent recurrence, the dose is 1 tablet twice daily for 4-5 months or until the stones are eliminated.
Cystone for renal colic: 1 tablet twice daily is recommended.
Should Cystone be taken before or after meals?
There are no current recommendations on whether Cystone should be taken before or after meals. In general, we prefer to take the tablets after/during meals to reduce gastric irritation and allow for slower absorption.
Can Cystone be taken during pregnancy?
There are no arguments against the use of Cystone during pregnancy. However, we recommend that you consult your gynaecologist before use.
Does Cystone cause weight gain?
As a herbal dietary supplement, Cystone has no calories. It also has no effect on hormones. Therefore, it is not Cystone that causes weight gain, but excess calories.
Is Cystone an antibiotic?
Antibiotics work by killing bacteria. Antiseptics are substances that prevent the growth and development of microorganisms, not just bacteria, and do not necessarily kill them. Therefore, Cystone is not an antibiotic.
Cystone substitutes
Although there are several similar supplements such as Fitolysin, Urolesan or Kanefron, they cannot be used as a substitute for cystone, as their composition is different. Moreover, these supplements focus more on the antilithic effect and generally do not have antiseptic properties.
