Description
Chanel No. 5 is the most famous perfume in the world, created in 1921. At that time, Coco Chanel asked the great perfumer Ernest Beaux to create a new, exciting fragrance for women that would match the image of the company she was creating. The designer presented Coco with several fragrances to choose from, she liked one of the samples the most, marked with the number 5 - this name was decided not to change. In 1986, Jacques Polge reinterpreted the composition of his predecessor Ernest Beaux to create a fuller, more extensive version of the feminine fragrance forever: eau de parfum.
At the time of its launch, No.5 was a revolutionary perfume - while all previous ones focused on the scent of one type of flower, here this rule was broken and a rich bouquet of scents was created - rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang from the Comoro Islands were combined with synthetic aldehydes, which strengthened and highlighted the floral scent. It was a breakthrough in perfume production, art and technology combined in one!
The first person to use this perfume was Coco Chanel herself, and its charm was also appreciated by actresses Catherine Deneuve and Carole Bouquet. Marilyn Monroe, when asked what she wore to bed, answered simply: Chanel No. 5. Today, despite the passage of many years, it remains synonymous with beauty, elegance and chic...
